I have a ton of hobbies. Like, a ton. Some of which are playing the trumpet, shooting my bow and arrow, Rubik's cubes, baking/cooking, emailing, playing any kind of sport, I could go on and on.
But I think if I had to choose one hobby that was my favorite, I would choose reading. I LOVE to read. My favorite series right now is (any guesses?) Harry Potter.
I've read the series three times. But it's been a while. Maybe it's time to go for round four!
But did you know that reading fiction can be educational? Let me introduce you to Percy Jackson.
P.S. Don't watch the movie
These books are about Greek Mythology. Before I read this series, I didn't even know what Greek Mythology was. But now I'm an expert! I can name most of the Greek Gods, and what they do. I know almost all of the Mythological stories. But the Greeks aren't all.
This is the third book in the series
The Heroes of Olympus series (also called "The Lost Hero") is by the author of Percy Jackson. This series is about Rome, and Roman Mythology. (By the way, the Greeks are better then the Romans.)
If I have some spare reading time, I might pick up this.
That's a classic. So, to conclude, Harry Potter rocks, Percy Jackson has a terrible movie, Greeks are better then Romans, and Lord of the Rings is long.

Yep, you are so right! Lord of the Rings is long... long and awful! And Harry Potter does rock... but it doesn't classical, so it gets a big thumbs down!
ReplyDeleteYou just said Harry Potter rocked!
DeleteYes, but my definition of the word "rock" is the music type. So, knowing me, do you think that was a positive remark?
